Final Four of Step Study

First, I am so happy for those of you who have stayed in the group for the final four book of Step Study. We have made lasting friendships and witnessed several moving on to other endeavors.

Secondly, we have come this for by faith. It is by God’s grace and mercy that we are here with a decision to continue to walk the celebrate recovery journey toward wholeness. Mark 9:24 “Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief... exclaims one of the struggles that is encountered as we walk through this journey.

While jogging, I received a phone call from an employer inviting me to work on their team but I had complete the third interview with the owner, who would make the final decision. Immediately, I cried out Lord, help my unbelief, to dispel doubt, fear, and anxiety. The devil desire to win the battle of our minds. Therefore, I spoke with my accountability partner and we prayed, consequently, all was well.

Finally, I encourage everyone to continue believing in the Trinity, utilizing your accountability partner, and working the steps, which will assist us through the final four book and beyond.
Gracefully,
Oshea

Jesus Warns against Looking Down on Others

“What do you think?
If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not  leave the
ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?  If it turns out that he finds it, truly say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have gone astray.
Your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
"God is concerned about every human  being he has created.
This is one of our setiments of Celebrate Recovery!  We are concerned about everyone of God's people.
If you are one of those who  has wandered away..... We the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church are looking and waiting for You
With open Arms...

Celebrate Recovery Summit 2011

Get ready for a Blessing of a lifetime!

"Healing of the Mind"

Paul writes, "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ" (Colossians 2:8).  Yet that is exactly what is happening in our secular and sometimes christian "recovery" movement.
The tragic results of these hollow and deceptive philosophies is that hurting belevers are being led away from a firm confidence in Jesus and the Word oh God.  Instead of finding healing for their wounded hearts, they are often led into deeper captivity to sin and consequently experience a life of spiritual proverty and sorrow.

I believe firmly that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has providedmeverything we need for a full and productive walk with God in the Scriptures.  Trust me I have seen it work, and the Bible has claimed "His devine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him" ( 2 Peter 1:3)

Celebrate Recovery is about HOPE.

Hope for the restoration of broken relationships.  Hope for the future.  Hope for permanent healing.  one of our goals through Celebrate Recovery is to introduce you to a savior who will change your life so that you will not have to experience a life of confusion and complications, but a life of joy and a peace of God that wll exceed your understanding as you follow His plan that he has laid out for you.

It is my prayer as the Leader of Celebrate Recovery that you will experience God's healing for your deepest wounds.

"Thank You Rochelle"

I don't know if you even realize that you have become the pulse of Celebrate Recovery.  I have taken a turn in life in which I strongly feel God has lead me in, and it has enabled me not to be in all the places where I believe I need to be.  But, as I looked to God for direction He said in a whisper "I sent someone to be the wind beneath your wings" take the opportunity to go and do what I have commisioned you to do.  Wow and immediatly a Peace came over me and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief.
If you have read this far you can see I used the word (I) quite a bit....I was trying to do things on my own and by myself, ohhh how so selfish of me...
Rochelle God is truly using You.  The work and dedication you have shown to Celebrate Recovery is truly Amazing!  You have given Celebrate Recovery tools to be able toMinister to others around the World!
If I have not told you "I appreciate you for who you are and what you are becoming through the Power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"  You are a Blessing to The family of Celebrate Recovery and the entire body of Christ.

Thanks for standing for me when I could not

"Celebrate Recovery" Don't Hide, Get Real, Take the Journey!

After your Worship experience, do you experience Freedom from God's word? Sometimes out of fear, laziness, passivity, irresponsibility, or wrong thinking, we can miss out on opportunities that God places in front of us. Are you caught up in life's issues? How sad it is to be constantly defeated and overwhelmed by problems. Are you only inspired by the Word or do you find its usefulness in your life?

If you are wondering where you can get help when life hurts, how you can overcome your burdens, why can't you control yourself, how can you break out of this addiction or who cares about your problems...

Well, Celebrate Recovery is a fellowship of people committed to being a safe place where peope can be honest about real problems, real hurts, habits, and hang-ups, pain, shame and guilt, resentment, and bitterness, through God's Love and truth. Together, we are experiencing freedom and new life through the Power of Jesus Christ.

Life is difficult. none of us make it through this world without getting hurt or hurting others or ourselves. we are all in need of recovery. We are all weak in different areas, and we need each other.

The Joy for me as the Celebrate Recovery Leader has bee that "I get to" not "have to" engage on the front line of what God is able to do in a willing heart. I get to rejoice when I hear another story of another life transformed.

If you would like to join this growing family who accept one another where they are, believing that God can help us change and grow, we invite you to join us in this Journey in this life-changing ministry of Celebrate Recovery.

Finish The Race

Sometimes during  my walk/run/jog around Herman Park, I become discouraged. I say to myself, "Rochelle, run faster!" "Rochelle walk faster! "Rochelle jog faster!" Sometimes, I'm thinking, change the music and listen to something more upbeat, like.....house music(which I love(d) so much as a former clubber) or what about a little..T.I. and get your swagger on while you run. Let me back up,...before I begin my walk/jog/run, I start off with my worship/meditation music(Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin and Words of Healing etc..) Sometimes I'll listen to a sermon and trust me, being convicted by The Holy Spirit on a walk/jog/run can be a bit much. Nevertheless, I listen to the sermons and as I'm doing my walk/run/jog, I realize that the most important race that I MUST stay in,....that I MUST finish, is this process,... this journey with my Lord. It doesn't matter how fast I walk, or how fast I jog, or how fast I run,...as long as I FINISH THE RACE.
